Can't We All Just Get Along?

Police, Army and fire fighters in Sierra Leone have used fire hoses and AK-47 assault rifles to remove 250 of the 400 cobras and vipers that overran a local police station.

The snakes were scaring away the police officers and residents reporting crimes. "We have forced water into the building and some of the snakes trying to escape were shot by our men carrying AK-47s," said the police chief.

Authorities intend to remove or kill the remaining 150 snakes within a week.
